Workplace Design
Whether you’re looking to create a new workplace or revitalize the one you have, the workplace strategists at Nicholai Studio can help you design a creative workplace interior that will meet your organization’s needs—even as those needs change.
Workplace design can be daunting. It is a process that involves a myriad of steps with dialogues, decisions and actions for space design. Nicholai Studio provides coordination and guidance throughout the interactive design process:
discover
Every day, space connects your people with one another and the work they do—individually, as a team, and across teams. First, we observe people in all parts of your organization going about their work. Then we hold guided dialogues with a representative group of your people, known as a space committee. We call this Space Therapy. We listen to learn roles, work patterns, and relationships and how those contribute to your organization’s overall mission and culture. Through design coaching, the team is able to identify what works and what doesn't in the current space configuration.
diagnose
Space connects your organization - people, daily activities, and ultimately innovation. Nicholai will diagnose future space outcomes through your business and real estate metrics. This analysis will give you clarity and amplify decision-making as to which changes should take priority and add the most value.
design
With a few sessions of brainstorming we motivate your space design committee to think creatively about how the space they work in can support their efforts most effectively. Together, we sketch design elements that have the greatest impact on employee well-being and work performance.
As the design director for your project, Nicholai Studio assembles the team of subcontractors to perform the work and coordinates their efforts to keep the project on schedule and on budget while ensuring that your people can carry on their day-to-day business with minimal disruption. We keep your people informed on the project's progress to maintain excitement and minimize angst at move-in.
